Randovu collects the following categories of information when you use our Platform:
Account Information
For registered accounts: email address, username, and date of birth. Guest users provide only a date of birth during verification.
Profile Data
Optional profile photos, bio text, and approximate location derived from IP geolocation.
Webcam Data
- Age verification frames: A single webcam frame is captured during the age verification process and analyzed by our AI system. This frame is automatically deleted within 60 seconds of verification completion.
- Quality control captures: Periodic webcam frames may be captured during active sessions for safety and quality control purposes. These are retained for up to 30 days before automatic deletion.
- Content moderation frames: Frames captured by our real-time NSFW detection system are processed temporarily in memory and are not permanently stored unless a violation is detected, in which case the flagged frame may be retained for review and enforcement purposes.
Chat Metadata
We collect metadata about your chat sessions, including which users you connected with, session duration, and timestamps. We do not record or store the audio or video content of your conversations.
Device Information
Browser type and version, operating system, IP address, and device identifiers used for security and abuse prevention.
Usage Data
Pages visited, features used, session frequency, and interaction patterns to improve the Platform experience.
2. How We Use Your Data
- Age verification: AI analysis of facial features from webcam captures to estimate whether a user meets the minimum age requirement of 18.
- Content moderation: Real-time NSFW detection using AI models to identify and prevent nudity, sexual content, and other prohibited material during video sessions.
- Quality control and safety: Periodic frame captures during sessions ensure ongoing compliance with our Terms of Service and provide evidence for moderation decisions.
- Matchmaking: Using location, preferences, and account data to connect you with appropriate chat partners.
- Abuse prevention: Analyzing usage patterns, device information, and behavioral signals to detect and prevent spam, bots, ban evasion, and other forms of abuse.
3. Data Storage & Security
All data is stored on Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure with industry-standard security measures, including:
- Encryption at rest and in transit (AES-256 and TLS 1.3).
- Automated data lifecycle management: age verification frames are deleted within 60 seconds; quality control captures are deleted after 30 days.
- Appearance scoring data (used internally for matchmaking quality) is encrypted and never shared with third parties or other users.
- Access to user data is restricted to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis with audit logging.
4. Data Sharing
Randovu does not sell your personal data to third parties. We may share your data in the following limited circumstances:
- Law enforcement: We may disclose user data when required by law, subpoena, court order, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the safety of our users, the public, or to comply with legal obligations. This includes mandatory reporting of suspected child exploitation material (CSAM).
- Service providers: We use third-party service providers (e.g., Azure, analytics tools) who process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements.
5. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights under GDPR, CCPA, or other applicable data protection laws:
- Right to access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to deletion: Request that we delete your personal data, subject to legal retention obligations.

6. Cookies & Local Storage
Randovu uses session cookies to maintain your authenticated session and localStorage for user preferences (such as theme settings and verification status). We do not use third-party tracking cookies for advertising purposes. Essential cookies are required for the Platform to function and cannot be disabled.
7. Children's Privacy
Randovu is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. Our AI-powered age verification system is designed to prevent minors from accessing the Platform. If we discover that a user is under 18, their account will be immediately terminated and all associated data will be deleted. If you believe a minor is using Randovu, please report it to randovu@outlook.com.
8. International Users
Randovu is operated from the United States. All data is processed and stored in the USA, specifically on Azure East US infrastructure. If you are accessing Randovu from outside the United States, you consent to the transfer of your data to the USA and acknowledge that your data may be subject to US laws, which may differ from the data protection laws in your jurisdiction.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. For registered users, we will notify you of material changes via email. Your continued use of Randovu after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
